What to Expect
Not your traditional yoga retreat, just like our Yoga + Beer classes aren't your traditional yoga class. Yoga + Beer is about combining things that make us feel good - so prepare yourself for five days of feel-good, beer-drinking, outdoor-adventuring, friend-making, yoga bliss. Come to recharge. To make new friends. To explore Bend. To recommit to your practice. To celebrate summer. Whatever your reason, your thirst will be quenched by this refreshing retreat.
What is Yoga + Beer?
Yoga + Beer is an Oregon-based yoga community that comes together several times a month to celebrate our love for yoga and our appreciation for local, craft beers. Our studio is a brewery. Our post-class refreshment is a beer. All-levels of yoga practice and beer tasting experience are welcome. Yoga for everybody and every body. No pressure, never too serious … just fun, feel good yoga.
The Full Keg of Details
I like specifics, so I'm going to assume that you do too. Here is the general idea of what our days will entail. The exact schedule will be released as we get closer to the retreat.
Our retreat will begin with dinner on Wednesday, August 15th. Check in to McMenamin's Old St. Francis School at your leisure - we have single and double rooms available. And for those of you who live in Bend or have a place to stay in Bend - we have a pricing option for you too. By staying at the Old St. Francis School, you will have free access all weekend to their beautiful soaking pool. Old St. Francis is conveniently located in downtown Bend, giving you the perfect hub for exploring Bend through out the weekend.
Your belly and your thirst will be well taken care of all weekend, because no one wants a hangry Beer Yogi. All of your meals will be included, starting with dinner on Wednesday night, and continuing through lunch on Sunday. Your first beer is included after every brewery yoga class and at each night's dinner.
We will have two, 90 minute yoga practices on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and one 90 minute yoga practice on Sunday. All of your yoga classes will be led by Mikki Trowbridge, and will be all levels appropriate. At least one yoga class each day will be at a local Bend brewery.
Each day will include some free time for you to do your own adventuring and exploring. In addition, your retreat includes one morning of SUP Yoga and Stand Up Paddleboarding (including the board rental), a group hike, river floating and admission to Bend Brew Fest. Transportation is included to any of our classes, beer drinking adventures, SUP class, or hikes that are not within walking distance of Old St. Francis.
Our goal is to make this a fun and easy going weekend - that you don't have to plan. Get yourself to Bend, and let us take care of the rest! You deserve it.
The Hoppy Stuff
And like any Beer Yogi, you're now wanting to know - what beers do I get to drink?!
The exact locations and details are still being finalized, but our Yoga + Beer locations in 2017 included: Deschutes Brewing, Crux Fermentation Project, Worthy Brewing, McMenamins, and Silver Moon, with additional stops at 10 Barrel, Boneyard, Oblivion, and Atlas Cider. We have some new breweries and hop farms in the works for 2018! Cheers!
We have three pricing options available for you - with details outlined below. We have done our best to keep costs to a minimum - but have also made sure to include all of your lodging, all of your meals and beers, all gratuities, all transportation, and all activities so that there aren't any surprise costs on your retreat weekend. The price you see below is the cost of your weekend - unless you choose to go shopping, buy extra beers, or take additional adventures.
A non-refundable $250 deposit is required to hold your spot, and payment is due in full no later than August 1st.
