The Full Keg of Details
I like specifics, so I'm going to assume that you do too. Here is the general idea of what our days will entail. The exact schedule will be released as we get closer to the retreat.
Yoga Practices
This retreat includes five yoga classes, all led by Y+B Founder, Mikki Trowbridge. Practices are 90 minutes and are a similar vinyasa/flow style to our regular Yoga + Beer classes - but we use these retreats as an opportunity to deepen our understanding of the yoga practice. We will spend time learning more about the poses, the subtleties within the shapes, breathwork, meditation, and the limbs of yoga. Practices will be inclusive of all levels of yogi, with lots of options given. Practices are held at retreat centers and studios around Bend.
Meals & Refreshments
Your belly and your thirst will be well taken care of all weekend, because no one wants a hangry Beer Yogi. All of your meals will be included, starting with dinner on Thursday night and continuing through lunch on Sunday. Your first beer is included with every lunch and dinner. Our community likes good food - so we promise that your retreat meals will not disappoint.
Lodging
Our retreat home base is McMenamin's Old St. Francis School, which is conveniently located in downtown Bend, giving you the perfect hub for exploring Bend throughout the weekend. By staying at the Old St. Francis School, you will have free access all weekend to their beautiful soaking pool, secret rooms, various bars, and a movie theater. We have pricing options (see below) for both single and double rooms available. And for those of you who live in Bend or have a place to stay in Bend - we have a pricing option for you too.
Local Business Love
Supporting and investing in local businesses is a core part of our Y+B mission, and something we integrate into all of our retreats. We practice at local studios/retreat centers, eat at locally owned restaurants, and imbibe at local breweries. Our Bend partners typically include 10 Barrel Brewing, Worthy Brewing, Spider City Brewing, Hanai, Immersion Brewing, Crux Fermentation Project, Wild Rose Thai, and more!
Retreat Schedule
Our retreat will begin with an evening yoga class on Thursday, July 9th, and ends after lunch on Sunday, July 12th. Each day will include some free time for you to do your own adventuring and exploring. Since this is just a weekend - we don't want to overwhelm you with activities, but we will provide suggestions for adventuring during your free time. Transportation is included to any of our classes and adventures that are not within walking distance of Old St. Francis. Our goal is to make this a fun and easy going weekend - that you don't have to plan. Get yourself to Bend, and let us take care of the rest!
Here is our 2023 schedule for this retreat, to give you an idea of how our days flow. Our 2026 schedule will be finalized about a month before the retreat, and will be emailed out to all registered yogis.
